Utah AutoBlueprintingBlueprinting is the process we use to pre-manage repairs in order to decrease the number of days the vehicle is in the shop. This process is what allows Cascade to get vehicles back to their owners far faster than industry norms. Within hours of the vehicle being dropped off, it is blueprinted by a specially trained blueprint team that disassembles the vehicle and carefully inspects it for damaged parts and structure that was hidden by the exterior damage. By revealing damage missed in the original estimate within hours of the vehicle arriving, necessary parts and labor changes are found and processed before the repair team starts into the actual repairs on the vehicle. Ninety percent of repair delays are found by using this process. The less controllable delays are parts that are on back order and repairs that must be sublet out to other places.

Utah AutoRepairsThe frame, or structure, is the foundation of the vehicle and crucial to its safety and integrity. Factory tolerances are often only + or – 3mms, roughly the thickness of 3 dimes. Cascade Collision Repair centers use laser equipment that measures within + or – 1mm.

Utah Auto Repair Center On most vehicles (unibodies) weld-on parts make up the structure (often mistakenly called the frame). The average vehicle has more than 4000 factory spot welds. Engineers determine the number, size, and distance apart of the spot welds to assure the structure absorbs or transfers crash energy to maximize the safety of the occupants. Specially designed high-strength steels, commonly used to reduce weight and increase fuel economy, require the right equipment and technicians skilled in repairing newer vehicles. Cascade Collision uses state-of-the-art spot welding equipment and certified welding technicians.

Utah Auto Protection The modern vehicle’s structure is made of thin pieces of sheet metal. The factory, knowing that these parts crucial to the integrity of the vehicle are susceptible to corrosion (rusting) that would weaken the parts, go to great lengths to protect them from the elements. One of the ways this is accomplished is through the use of special coatings. Cascade Collision uses special equipment to deliver the best corrosion protection products available to the hardest to reach cracks and crevices of any vehicle.
